I am Lou Principe, a Renton-based traditional artist with a bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts from the University of Santo Tomas, Philippines. I am a beloved child of God, a mother of two, a caregiver and guardian of my special needs son, a special needs paraeducator substitute, a poet, writer, dancer, a lover of life!

In striving for self-empowerment and self-discovery, I found Jesus. My journey was deceiving and had lots of twists and turns, but Jesus, my Savior never gave up on me. He continued to pursue me even when I delved into the New Age in my quest to find answers and meaning to life, and to find healing from all my brokenness.

Realizing how all my gifts have come from God, I give everything back to God by making my Lord and my God the driving force and inspiration in all my created art and writings.

I glorify God, the one true Creator with my paintings which are either commissioned, from dreams and/or visions, and I write poems with the guidance of the Holy Spirit. With my spiritual awakening comes the birth of my art - one that has depth, meaning, inspiration, gratitude, and healing.

Believing in myself and in God's bountiful gifts paved the way for the original flow of creative ideas, and trusting in God's complete control over my soul's path and life purpose was crucial for me to unleash the total freedom of expression and the unique art that I bring to the table.

Though it is still true that my vision is to inspire, perhaps teach you, beautiful souls that art is more than just paint in a canvas; it is a crossover between human and spiritual experience. After my full conversion, my vision is very much geared towards glorifying God by giving back and sharing the talents God has blessed me with.

It is my mission to live in God's light, to follow His Divine Will, to help heal, and to inspire people to connect within and experience the merging of our spiritual souls and our physical experiences by sharing my gifts of art, writings, thoughts, intentions, and friendship to anyone whose lives I touch.

Art is the language of my soul. Creating art is where I lose myself in the process, only to find myself in the end. I am simply God's instrument. Humbled by God's many blessings, I dare to share this wonderful journey where God takes control of my soul.  Co-creating with the Lord, may you find beauty, inspiration, and resonance in "our" creative artistry.
