I am Lou Principe, a Renton-based traditional artist with a bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts from the University of Santo Tomas, Philippines. I am a mother of two, a special needs paraeducator, a fitness buff, and a spiritual seeker. I follow the path of self-discovery and my spirituality is the driving force and inspiration when creating art. While I enjoy painting nature, animals, and people, I find different facial expressions and emotions fascinating. I paint my reality but mostly, I paint from dreams, precognition, and clairvoyance. My paintings have an aura of spiritual, mystical dreaminess that are charged with emotions and it comes from my very soul.

With my spiritual awakening comes the birth of my art - one that has depth, meaning, inspiration, and healing. Believing in myself and in my gifts paved the way for the original flow of creative ideas, and trusting my soul's path and life purpose was crucial for me to unleash the total freedom of expression and the unique art that I bring to the table.

My vision is to inspire – perhaps teach you, beautiful souls – that art is more than just paint in a canvas. Creating art for me is a crossover between human and spiritual experience. Immersing yourself in art can help you find yourself. It helps you heal and unleash your own freedom of expression. It is my mission to live in light, help heal, and to inspire people to connect within and experience the merging of our spiritual souls and our physical experiences by sharing my gifts of art, writings, thoughts, intentions, and friendship to anyone whose lives I touch.

Art is the language of my soul. Creating art is where I lose myself in the process, only to find myself in the end. It is such a wonderful journey where the soul takes control. May you find beauty, inspiration, and resonance in my creative artistry.
